Kalgoorlie train derailment leaves two men in hospital

A man is fighting for his life after a train was derailed by a truck near Kalgoorlie.
Two injured men have been flown to Perth after the derailment around 595km north-east of the WA capital.
The men, both engineers in their 70s, have been airlifted from the Goldfields by the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
One of them remains in a critical condition and the other is stable.
They are both in Royal Perth Hospital.
According to The West Australian, one of the men had to be extracted through a window of the train’s wreckage on Monday evening at around 5pm.
A third man, the truck’s driver, is understood to have not been seriously injured.
